The old map did not have a ship/sea connection because the river was too narrow, fast, and steep. They all transition at the same elevation like they would be in reality. In case if you haven't noticed, the trees change from bushy, leafy deciduous trees to the taller evergreens found on the mountains. The other round lake that is found just outside the start square is now a very large lake that is fed from the other, larger lake from the old map just outside the 25 tile region. The reason why I added the lake is due to some inspiration of the old map that had a fairly sizable lake, but it had those really steep and ugly shorelines. The two main rivers are close to their original spots. I also wanted to have a lot of build plain for large cities, while also having some low hills for some challenge and interest. Although the map is called Two Rivers, I put in two other tributaries to feed the main lake, and a small mountain creek that feeds into the lower main river. This map loosely resembles the base-game map. This map requires Mass Transit because it is already prepped for heavy traffic flow, since this map is very suitable for massive cities. The old map came with the game purchase, but I was never intrigued by the vanilla maps, so I decided to remaster every single one. This map is a complete overhaul of the base-game map, Two Rivers.
